Summer is over

Wow! It's now raining every afternoon. At least the weather is cold specially at nights. For those who have no air condition at home like me having now a wonderful sleep . It's very delicious to sleep! I can't imagine how we have endure the two months hottest temperature 38 degrees Celsius and above everyday for the last two months. Lucky those who have air condition in the houses and those working in the office with air conditions, at least they don't feel the hot temperature during daytime when they are at air condition job site, they only felt burning inferno when they goes home. LOL. Undeniable most of us Pilipino households have no air condition. Of course we, can't afford to buy the gadget and the energy consumption.
Now rainy season begun, but my fair now is the floods. I started putting our stuffs at upper places. I must be ready for anything like what happened last year in some places of Metro Manila. MM was devastated by typhoon Ondoy last year. Luckily, water didn't enter our house but my fear now is our drainage system in our vicinity is full of mud, sand and garbage from the construction site of new condominium nearby. The rainwater rises fast along the street with slight rains again. Barangay Chairman is not doing anything for it. I hope there will be no typhoon Ondoy part 2 .

Forgot the Key

I was already in the church before 8 AM. I was there for the praise and worship service when my son called me by my cellphone. Urgently wanted me to go home and bring the keys he needed and met him somewhere in Alabang . I felt worried, by this time he should be in the province, but i keep calm. It's his first time to travel alone to his father's hometown. He forgot the key. Nobody's home there and the house is locked. It is no use to go there if he can't enter the house. Good thing, he remembered the key while still almost outside metro Manila. He went down from the bus and waited me to the nearest bus stop along the south expressway.
I don't want to blame or say bad to my son. It is his first time to travel alone and first time to start to do the task assigned by his father to him while his father is out of the country. Actually, this is good experience for my son and his father is also guiding him now unlike before that totally abandoned him. It is now the time that my son should learned many things and should always ready to make solutions for any problems arrived to his life whether large or small. Tuna steak

Hi friends. It's again Wednesday. Hay!!! time flies so fast. I went to wet market. I found out that price of tuna fish are cheaper these days. Usually the price is more than P 200 per kilo but today it is P160.00 per kilo. Its a big difference and i noticed there is tuna available in every fish stall. It is time for me to take the opportunity to buy and eat tuna as much as i can because i"ve been longing to eat tuna fish at least two or three times a day. . I like very much and many people said and also in the advertisements that tuna is very nutritious and contents omega 3 which is good for the heart. Good for me because there were times that my cholesterol level is slightly above normal and my blood pressure as well.
I bought one kilo but i cook one third of it because we are only three in the house and i kept the other two thirds in the refrigerator.
I marinated with calamansi juice (lemon juice), soy sauce, oyster sauce. dash of pepper and minced garlic for one hour .
I fried the fish halfly with combination of vegetable oil and butter. After frying the fish , i removed from pan and set aside.
Fry some onion rings just slightly like when the onion rings separated to each other and you may set aside.
Return the fish in the pan , put the left over marination and little water enough to cook the tuna fish.
When cooked and become saucy remove from pan and put in a plate , scatter the onion rings over the fish. Serve hot. This is a tuna fish steak!

Mango Shake

Last two weeks ago, i got two boxes of carabao mango from my hometown. They were still green and unripe mango when arrived here in Manila. One by one started to ripe after three days. My baby makes me happy..

I could not describe what i felt today. As if my heart breaking into pieces. I can't help but i have to be very very strong. My kids still needs me though they are already adolescents. This is my baby when she was (3) three months old. This picture taken nineteen years ago. She's very sweet and innocent. Thank God! she was very normal with her growth and development. At three months old she can already raise her chest, supported on forearms when in prone position. That's my baby, she turns her head and looks in same direction to locate the sound. She can't sleep without music. I used to turn on softly the radio if she sleep. She was a smiling child, sweet and innocent.

One hundred percent hot summer is over here in the Philippines now! We are now experiencing rainy season and now raining on and off almost everyday. I love it. It is very comfortable to sleep in the night. I can't really imagine the hottest temperature we had experienced this recent summer. It is over but more typhoons expecting to come again. Hello folks out there! What do you do most at home? For me, i do the household chores with my radio on always at my side. The radio is always been my companion at home everytime i am alone when my kids are not in our home. I always hear the radio about news up date, talks about health and home, agriculture, religious messages, music, showbiz and many many more. I can't imagine how " survivor mom " survived the hardships of being a single parent with two kids. Of course, it was very painful at first, deep inside my heart is hurtin' but i am consoled and able to moved on by listening the radio everyday instead of crying. Across the country

This was my picture of my younger days across the country. It was 1980's when was new to this place and came here to work which very far from home, family and friends. There was no cellphone yet that time and only letters by mail was our means of communication with my family. Long distance call through landline was possible but there was no telephone line in my home town that time. It took them 2-3 weeks to received my letters so with their letters too. I could not imagine now how cute i am before! LOL! So young, innocent and virgin . LOL!!! My looks now is entirely different.
This was my 3rd day, I was writing a letter to my mother that i am in good hands and first time to sleep in an air conditioned room. I told them they don't have to worry with me because almost thousand of Filipinos works in my work place and we arrived here by batch, 25 each a batch. I was excited, proud and happy telling them in my letter that we are provided with fresh milk, expensive cheese & bread, apples , oranges and 2-3 viands each meal (lunch and dinner) everyday in the mess hall and i could eat as much as i can. These are the food that i was craving for because we can't afford to buy those days.
It was a nice experience that i will never forget in my entire life.

Fasionable Costumes

Hi friends! I am a homebody person and i seldom go out or attend parties or any kind of events. I usually decline invitations, as if i am afraid of people but actually it's not. What the only problem is that i don't have costumes or dress available size that readily fits me and the style that fits to the occasion unless they will invite me two or three weeks before the event, i might fine time to shop around in the mall. It is not easy to find my size because i am a little bit chubby but short. If i found a size, it is always too long for me, and if not too long, it is always lousy. How i wish i could have a perfect body shape and become taller at least more than five feet in height unlike my close sister , she's slim with a height of five feet and four inches tall.
