It is a week already that our computer is very noisy and slow. I asked my son what is the problem and he said that our personal computer's motherboard is full of dust and needs electric blower to clean. He want me to buy one. I said to him that he must be resourceful. We have already a vacum cleaner to use. There is no difference with the blower and i think vacum is even better because it will suck off the dust not like the blower. It blows the dust all over and we need a double face mask to protect us from inhaling the dust. My kids only know how to use the computer excessively but didn't care to clean. He is waiting for me to buy electric blower. But i insisted to use the vacum and he did. Now, our computer performing fast and no more noise.

Time to decorate my Christmas tree

Sweetened Camias (Averrhoa bilimbi)

There are 2 varieties of Averrhoa Bilimbi here in the Philippines.
1.The sweet one is called Balimbing and also called star fruits. It is color green and turns to light yellow when ripen. It is slightly acidic but sweet and tasty. It looks like a star but elongated oval shaped fruit. When cut across it shows a 5-pointed (sometimes 6-pointed or 7-pointed) star shape. The fruits are a good source of Vitamin C.
2. Camias is sour variety and so acidic. Filipinos use as for flavoring for Filipino dish sinigang. Fruit is use for making pickles and commonly eaten raw dip with salt and spice.

This is how to make Preserved Camias.
i gallon camias fruits
2 tablespoon lime (apog)
Water- enough to cover the entire camias in a pan.
Cut both ends to removed the crown
Pricked several times each fruit with toothpicks
Soak with water with lime and Blanch.
Squeeze camias one by one. ( do not crush the fruits)
Measure the water enough to cover the camias and add sugar the same as of water.
Cook camias in this syrup. Let boil for ten minutes. and set aside
Next day boil again for 10 minutes. Repeat until on the fourth day and cook until syrup thickens and camias turns to brown color. Let it cool.
Put in a sterilized bottle.

Hello friends. I came across this recipe from Carnation Evap wrapper and i would like to share to all of you. I will cook it later because at this time shell fish is not yet available. I still order from the mobile vendor and he will deliver tommorrow.

SEAFOOD STEW
ingredients:
1 tbsp butter, 1/2 cup sliced onion, 2 cups diced tomatoes
1 kg (halaan/tahong) shellfish and do not remove the shell
1 medium size carrots and cut into strips
1 cup cauliflower
1 cup water
1 cup labahita fillet (cut into cubes)
1 small red pepper( cut into cubes)
Salt and pepper to taste
3/4 cup carnation evaporated milk
Procedure:
1.Heat the butter then saute the onion and tomatoes. Stir in the halaan and tahong until shells open.
2.Add the carrots and cauliflower. Cook in one minute then pour the water and bring to boil
3.Add the fish fillet, red pepper, salt and pepper
4. Pour in the carnation evap and simmer for 2 minutes
Serve hot.

Camera

My daughter's camera is not functioning well again. All pictures comes out blurred. I can't find the guarantee certificate and the receipt. My daughter can't say anything. She maybe overused this digital camera. She always bring with her the camera wherever she goes, in school or anywhere. She and friends takes pictures in the school, corridors, street , mall or anywhere with her classmates. My daughter is friendly and love going out with her classmates -friends (barkada). They love taking pictures and videos of themselves. Sometimes if she come home late, i don't need to ask her where she came from. I just check the camera and i could see from picture and videos what's their happenings for that day. From her camera I could see all their funny moments in the school, where and what food they eat lunch or snacks, and if sometimes they go hanging out in the mall at game shops or in the cafe. They all like young kids posing different funny posings. My daughter is already 19 years old and now fourth year engineering but she is still childish and naughty. I don't have problem of her studies because her grades are above average. Milk Fish : sinigang na Bangus

Today i am going to cook sinigang na bangus. A milk fish with soured sensation taste soup. I bought one large milk fish cleaned and chopped into five pieces. Put in a pot withabout 2-3 cups of water, salt to taste with one large chopped tomatoes and one large chopped onion. Bring to boil. Prepare the vegetables like string beans, kangkong leaves , sliced egg plant and okra. I supposed to put radish but it is not available. Add the vegetables to the mixture and continue cooking and get ready for the tamarind mix powder. When vegetable and fish almost cooked, pour the tamarind powder about 1 to 1 1/2 spoon only enough for the one whole large fish. I added also MSG to neutralized the taste of tamarind and the salt.
I am in a hurry to cook before my kids woke up from bed. They slept late last night because they had their computer session. I give them all the chance what they want to do day and night to enjoy their semestral vacation.

My kids and me want mashed potato instead of rice if our viand is pot roasted chicken. This is how to do it. Washed potatoes , put in a pot , add water and boil until cook. Peel off the skin and mashed. Season with salt and gound pepper. Add 2-3 tablespoon of butter and wet with little milk. Mold to desired size or mold in a small cup. Chill and serve with chicken gravy plus pot roasted chicken .

Chicken Curry

This is chicken curry is also one of our favorite viand. I cook at least once a week. Here are the ingredients:
1/2 kilo chicken
1 large onion, quartered
1 bell pepper either red or green
1 potato cut into four and fried
ground pepper
fish sauce
2 gloves of garlic and crushed
I/2 cup water
1 tablespoon curry powder
Cut chicken into pieces. Saute garlic until brown then onions until wilted. Add the chicken and fish sauce cook and stir for 3-4 minutes. Add the curry powder and water and the potato , cover and simmer. When chicken chicken almost well done then put the bell pepper just on top of the mixture then continue cooking for only a minute or two. Serve hot.
( coconut milk when chicken is well done)

Wow! the weather today is quite favorable to me. It is sunny , it was five days cloudy and always raining. My laundry are not fully dried up. But now is good enough .. very hot. This morning before i blog i made everything ready for lunch and snacks. I keep it ready so there is no more reason to tell me that i forgot to prepare food if i start to blog. I felt guilty but we just both laugh. My daughter has no complaints because she's going to Enchanted Kingdom with her highschool friends. Hope and pray that they may have a safe outing.

Chicken sandwich:
Put in a pan chicken breast , chopped garlic, chopped onion, salt to taste and pepper. Add water and boil until tender. Remove the chicken from pan and let it cool. Tear into small pieces. Put in a bowl the chicken, finely chopped onion, mayonaise and pepper then mixed thoroughly. Ready now for sandwich. I used pandesal in the morning and loaf bread for snacks .

Doctor's check up and then watched the movie THIS IS IT

Yesterday it was my daughter's appointment to see the gynecology doctor as her follow up check up at Clinica Manila (Mega Mall). The doctor's schedule to check her patients start at 6 pm. We arrived 5 minutes before 6 pm and my daughter was the last patient who registered and supposed to be the last patient to be called but luckily the nurse made a mistake and her name called as first patient exactly at 6 pm. We were very lucky because previous check up we usually spent 2-3 hours at waiting area before her name called to enter the doctor's room. Wow! sorry for the first patient who came very early but we are already in. In just 20 minutes , check up is over and we have still enough time to watch the movie of Michael Jackson "THIS IS IT" i love it!!!!! We bought the ticket for 9:00 pm show so we had still time for dinner and roam around the mall.
OMG!!!!! really Michael Jackson is sooooooooooooooooooooo ....A M A Z I N GGGGG!!! I can't believe Michael is already dead. He was very much alive and very active in his rehearsal for his show This Is It. One thing i also noticed in this show is the terrific performance of the new back up dancers of Michael Jackson. These new dancers are from different countries and it was Michael himself who choose them from huge and tight audition.

Luckily i made the job easier and perfect after three months and the management put me as regular employee. I am already happy in this company and i am also closed and very open to my officemates. I decided to continue this job because at that time there was unemployment of nurses in our country. I need to work for my financial needs. But lately , my officemates changed. They are aloft or became sometimes arrogant or selfish to me. They were older than me and they get old in this company. They will never allow that i am better than them. I think they insecured to me for i don't know the reason because i am just only new and i respects them so much.
I've been worked in different companies transferred from job to another . My longest job was my nursing career. I worked with different people and different personalities. The hardest part in a jobsite is when you have a co-worker with Narcissistic Entitlement Syndrome . My loving parents and son

It's Sunday and All Souls' day. I felt guilty when i was not able to go home to visit the tomb of my parents in the province. I wished they could understand my situation. Anyway, I always pray for them and i am so sure they are already in heaven.
My son went to Batangas with my in laws. Me and my daughter are only in our house. We really feel the house like boring without Joshua. This son of mine is sometimes boring but he made it sure that i am happy everyday. He always says "Lets eat mommy" or "is there anything to eat mommy?". I miss him so much. He left the house at 4 AM but he didn't wake us up anymore because he don't want to disturb our sleep. He just make a note to her sister about her medicine. He responsibly locked the door and gate securely when he leave the house.
