I idolized Paolo Contis as an actor since he was still a child at the tv show with Aga Mulach. I was so happy for Isabel Oli when they were became sweethearts. Pineapple Fried Rice

Have you taste fried rice with pine apple? I was curious when i saw this recipe so i tried it.Yes its tasty and now i am sharing with you also if you want something new variety of fried rice. And her is how.
Ingredients:
1 piece Chinese chorizo and diced
!/2 head garlic finely chopped
1 piece small onion chopped
50 gram carrot chopped
100 gram shrimp peeled and sliced
1 piece egg beaten
1 and half tablespoon patis (fish sauce)1 small can pineapple tidbits. ( del monte)
4 cups cooked rice

Saute chorizo until oil is extracted. Set aside chorizo and the same pan , add 1 tablespoon of oil and saute garlic, onion and carrots and shrimp. Add egg until just set
Add chorizo, patis, and pineapple tidbits and rice and mix well. Cook for another 2 minutes , stirring constantly.

Jay R survived from train accident

Jay R' s mother narrated on tv Showbiz Central last Sunday January 18 about Jay R how he survived from train accident in United States. Last January 11 they went for hiking after attending church with his girlfriend and other friends. According to her mother , Jay R and friends entered into the tunnel when the train came. There was no chance to get out from the tunnel so they panic and his sister's girlfriend was hit and died on the spot.Jay R 's mother said that he hardly recovering from the trauma.

Carbonara Sauce

Half kilo ground meat (pork or beef) i prefer fatless pork .
1 cup cooked bacon cut into pieces
4 cloves garlic (crushed)
3 pieces of chopped onion
1/4 tsp of pepper
1 big can of evaporated milk
1 cup cream of mushroom( optional)
Cheese ( quick melt)

Heat oil. Saute garlic until golden brown then add onion until wilted . Add ground pork, pepper and salt . Stir until meat becomes oily and half cooked. Add half cup of water and simmer until the meat is well done. Add evaporated milk , 250 ml of all purpose cream and a cup of bacon . Boil for 3-5 minutes but continue stirring and you may add grated cheese and bacon or later when serve already in the table as toppings (i use quick melt cheese). Thicken the sauce with cornstarch or cream of mushroom. Then serve with pasta.

Hahaha! actually i am not expert in cooking. I always used recipe book because i am forgetful. Carbonara is my kids favorite. I cook this way ( my own recipe) and they said they like much better than carbonara in French Baker. (LOL)

1. With your hands, feel for the keel bone or central bone or the breast
2. Place the knife parallel to the bone
3. Slowly slice through, getting as much meat off the bone.
4. Follow through until you separate the meat from the bone

Shrimp in Coconut Cream

In a skillet or pan heat five tablespoon of oil then saute i glove minced garlic. 1 small chopped onion, and for slices ginger . Add i/2 kilo of shrimp. Cook until orange in color then add i cup of coconut cream, one bundle of asparagus . Season with fish sauce and pepper

You can also used string beans if asparagus is not available.

God Is Good!

I am really so thankful to God that i am always given some task everyday. Yesterday i have 6 task but until now i have not finished them all yet. I went to City hall yesterday for the renewal of my business permit. Monday is the last day of filing business renewal. On and Off Cough

I had my doctors check up again. I have still on and off productive cough.This cough started last Christmas when i ate icy buko salad. Although i took some expectorant and increased my fluid intake everyday to loosen up the sticky secretions in my respiratory system. Chicken AdoBo ( chicken in vinegar and Soy Sauce

Just combine all the ingredients in pan and let stand for 30 minutes
chicken - one kilo
vinegar- 1/3 cup
soy sauce -3 tablespoon
salt - 1 teaspoon
bayleaf- 1
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 tablespoon brown sugar


Heat oil in pan , put crushed ginger (big) before garlic. When garlic turns to golden brown, put all the ingredients add 1/2 cup of water then cover and simmer until chicken becomes tender .
Serve Hot.

Instead of buying cake i prepared Graham Cake. It is cheaper than to buy one from popular bakeshop and i can make a bigger one.
2 Nestle all purpose cream
1/2 cup Condense milk
graham cookies
sliced peaches
Mix together nestle cream, condensed milk and 1 tablespoon of coffee powder (for mocca Flavor) Layer graham biscuits in a pan and spread the mixture about one cup. Sandwich some slices of peaches and another layer of graham cookies and finished with the remaining mixture. Top with remaining slices of peaches.

Feeling Lazy

I find this day boring . I woke up early because i want to go to Phil Am Office at makati City . My Cash Card they gave me was blocked. STEAK STRIPS

1- 1/2 lb. round steak, cut into strips 2" long
1/2 cup flour
1/4 cup chopped onion
1 clove garlic minced
4 tbsp cooking oil
1 3/4 cup water
1/4 cup tomato sauce or 2 tbsp. catsup
tbsp. vinegar
1 tsp. mustard
3/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
First coat the meat with flour and brown meat into both sides in skillet with hot oil.. Remove meat from skillet and saute garlic until brown then onion until transparent.
Add meat and all the above ingredients , cover and simmer until tender and cooked.
Note: Occasionally stir .
Serve hot with rice

Year of the ox is the Chinese Astrological sign for year 2009. Lucky charms enjoys a big sales in Divisoria, malls, markets and specially outside of Quiapo Church in Manila. Best sellers are figurines of the ox and candles with the so called seven lucky colors.
Everyone is aspiring to be lucky this year . I myself too is aspiring and praying too but never came to my mind to buy one because my son Joshua is always opposing to buy any lucky charms.
But what can i do if I have a sincere friends who gave me a lucky charm Calendar and one figurine of an ox? I am so thankful of their sincerity. They wished me good luck and more money for 2009.

Mother's care

I am a mother of two with one year difference. It was a very difficult situation for me because i was alone.When my kids was small I am alone in the house and i 'll do all the home works and caring of my two babies. One is infant and the other is one year and two months old. A year old baby started standing and crawling and walks a few steps and tried to climb the stairs and chairs.

Grrrr. my nails is blackish. I ate grapes. I like grapes without skin.i used to peel off the skin with my nails. then i cook saluyot. (spinach) . i cut the stem with my nails . The following day i found my nails became blackish in color and looks untidy. It was stained by the grapes and spinach. Ginger Juice

It is first Sunday of year 2009. I can't attend again our church service. I have on and off contineous productive cough. This was started since Christmas eve. I have already cared myself with fruit juices and fluid intake. I also took expectorant and slightly relieved. I think i should have to try ginger juice (salabat).
This is how to prepare ginger juice . Prepare 2 inches long of fresh ginger root, peeled and crushed and boil with 5 cups of water . Simmer 7-10 minutes. Sweetened with brown sugar. Remove ginger slice before drinking. May serve hot or cooled.

Baked Chicken

First day of January when we went to my in-laws house for lunch. My mother in-law is a good cook. I like so much her pancit canton everytime there is an occasion. But she has a new recipe yesterday. It is a baked chicken with pineapple juice. Taste good and she said very easy to prepare so i listed the ingredients.

I whole chicken and chop into pieces
1 small can pineapple chunks
3 tbspoon soy sauce
1/4 cup white sugar
1 tsp salt

Marinate the chicken with salt, soy sauce and sugar and let stand for one hour. Arrange them in baking pan and pour in pineapple chunks including the juice.
Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 45 minutes or until done.
You may also cook by steaming in an ordinary pan with tight cover.

Sizzling Steak

For sizzling steak , choose the the meat like round beef and if pork should be from thigh part. Remove all the ligaments on surface and slice diagonally 2 inches thick and slit in middle to make it one inch. Pound meat with the use of the back of the knife or meat tenderizer. Marinate for half hour or more with :

• 1/4 cup worcestershire sauce
• 1/4 teaspoon pepper
• 1/4 teaspoon msg

Brush griller with little oil then put the steak. Do not press the meat so that juice will not squeeze out from the meat . When turning the meat brush first the griller and meat with oil again and turn meat to other side. Grill until cook.
While waiting for the steak to cook , heat the steak's steel plate on another stove. Arrange garnishings on platter, so you can immediately transfer steak from the griller to the hot platter. The steak will sizzle when placed on hot platter. Serve at once.
