Ameba or Amoeba

Once in a while, let us refresh our mind about Amoeba or ameba or if plural amoebae. Yes. Amebae are protozoa organism. Only few amoeba infect man but there is one kind of an Amebae which called Entaemoba Histolytica . This is popular to human because the causative agent of a disease called Amebic Dysentery. It is acquired by ingestion of the cyst stage of Entaemoba Histolytica in food or water contaminated by infected feces. It is also acquired by person to person transmission of enteric pathogen by orogenital ,oroanal or proctogenital sexual activity particularly among homosexuals.
We can prevent acquiring the disease if we always carry out health education and personal hygiene. Proper handwashing with soap and water after each defecation, before preparing food and before eating.
Boil drinking water to ensure elimination of ameba.
What can i only advise to those who are fond of oroanal sex.... Well, just be careful.
