Deadly Disease

I can't imagine how those Filipino flood victims of typhoon Ondoy and typhoon Pepeng suffering a lot. They flocked in overcrowded evacuation centers. They can't go back to their house yet because their area are still flooded and most of their houses flashed out by strong water current. Many of them now afflicted with respiratory diseases, diarrhea or gastroenteritis, HINI, skin diseases, athletes foot disease and the deadly leptospiroses. Almost hundreds now died of this disease and there is an overflowing leptospiroses cases admitted for treatment in government hospitals. Most of them are in the severe stage and they are already on dialysis . The kidneys are the favorite organ of Lyptospiros bacteria to attack and this is fatal once the kidneys are affected and if not treated immediately. The department of health announced that those government hospitals will never refuse to accept those patient with a symptoms of Leptospiroses and advised to treat them free of charge.
