Malunggay (Moringa Oleifera)

This is a green leaves of malunggay . Scientific name of malunggay is Moringa Oleifera
They call it a "Miracle Tree" by pharmacologist , scientist and herbalist
This is one of my favorite vegetable. I mixed with chicken for tinola recipe, pinakbet or dinengdeng.
They call it a poor man's veggie because usually found in the remote provinces . It was seldom you can see in the market because it is not used to eat by the urban people.
This is very nutritious food. It is a great source of calcium, vitamin A, iron and phosphorus .
It helps to produce more milk for lactating mothers.
Now it is popular because nutritionist and other health professionals introduced the nutritional content and antibacterial and other medicinal properties of malunggay.

I've actually begun germinating some Moringa oleifera seeds and I have Moringa stenopetala seeds coming. They grow very quickly and I'm hoping to begin harvesting leaves by this fall. This is an amazing plant!
