Drug Test For High School Students

Drug test for high school and college students will start on February in selected public schools in Metro Manila, Cebu and Davao City despite the Commission of Human Rights officials opposing to the order of Department of Education, Department of Health and Dangerous Drug Board. Random drug test is scheduled on February 2 and second batch will be on June before the opening of next school year. I can't comment if this could really help to students from drug intake or may result more misunderstanding of students if they offended. There are students taking drugs because they are misguided by parents and some are results of broken families so tendency to get involved with bad influence friends.. I hope those who have a positive result will be given an appropriate rehabilitation by the government and with the cooperation of parents or guardians. I think there is no use of just only testing if they are positive or not, there must be a follow up action.
