Tonsillectomy done..

It was another surgery again last Saturday. I feel like surrendering from surgery, this was my sixth surgery already. Hope and pray this is already the last. I am scared already specially side effects of spinal and general anesthesia. Last Saturday morning when my two tonsils removed (tonsillectomy)due to Chronic tonsillitis which i had for so many years.I was discharge from the hospital last Monday. With God's love, i am okay recuperating for complete healing of the surgery site in my home. I loss weight a little because i only take ice cream, and soft diet since Saturday.

I was in high school when my mother taught me to learned all the house hold chores in our home. She wanted me that i know everything before i become an adult. As a teenager of course, i hate and hesitate to do as much as possible. I want to enjoy my teenager life purely without responsibility at home. I did stay with my peers rather than at home working. But my mom was strict she won't give my allowance if i don't cooperate at home so i tried to allocate a time for the kitchen when i was free rather than chatting hours with my peers over the phone. My mom assigned me to clean the bathroom every Saturday. I was nauseated.

Me and my kids planned last night that we'll attend church service for ten AM but its already 10:15 but they didn't woke up yet.For sure we'll attend the afternoon service. I already expected this that we can't attend the morning service because they are used to sleep late. See? though they promised to woke up early but they are still in bed snoring. Even the breakfast i prepared, it is already cold , for sure this will be their lunch food , i will not cook for new anymore. I am beginning to freak out again.

Christmas is over and almost 24 hours more to go for New year!!! Yeheyyy!! one year is over again, time flies so fast. Well, my life this year had not changed from previous years, what only the difference was that i saw my hard work paid off because my daughter graduated college last April and got a work a week after graduation. She passed the board examination held last October. Actually, my daughter is intelligent and very responsible to her studies and her recent work. My only worries is if her lovelife having problem. I feel her sadness in her eyes and action. She couldn't sleep and cries at night. She didn't expected this because both looks inloved and we thought the guy will never let my daughter cry but he did. I can't help my daughter than just advising and comforting her. She's young and maybe he's not yet the right man for her. She's a successful engineer... soon, she'll meet the right guy along her way..hopefully. I pray to God that soon He may give her the right man for her to live with forever soon. My son is very secretive but there is no secret that won't come out specially about my son. I know he has already a girlfriend. He's inloved with a girl for the first time. I feel that he's happy. He date her girlfriend once in a while if they are free from their studies. I am so much happy for him. According to my daughter, my son met already the parents of her girlfriend at the girl's house. My son is a shy man but never expected that he was brave enough to go to the house of the girl and meet the girl's parents, that was when he was just still in the process of courting the girl. He's really sincere and very respectful. I really adore my son, the way he respect a girl and girl's parent he loved. I am sure he choosed a good girl he was looking for because what i know, my son is choosy. I was teasing him before (two years ago) that he must have a girlfriend right now just pick from one of his batch but he was telling me that no one of them made him lovable yet. I wish them good luck.
As usual, i spent the Christmas eve with my children. We had exchanged gift after eating a bonggang noche buena.
Me and my children agreed of what recipe to prepare for the New Year's Eve. I will prepare pot roast chicken with special gravy. This special request of my son. My daughter suggested spaghetti the way i used to cook for them. I used huge tomato in cans for the spaghette sauce. We don't passed New Year's Eve without our favorite Red Ribbon Cake and fruit salad.
I wish a happy and Prosperous new year for my family. May we have a happy and prosperous life, healthy free from sickness, out of danger all throughout the year 2012!. I'll also pray those people flooded in Mindanao that they can able to moved on as soon as possible.

Survivor Philippines season 3

I told myself i will never watch Survivor Philippines Season 4(GMA7) anymore because i had watch season 1, 2 and 3 it might would almost the same story of the castaways. I really didn't watch the pilot episode and even didnt mind its time slot. It happened that, was maybe 3rd or fourth night airing of the show when i opened our tv, I saw Isabel Lopez very talkative and very protective to her daughter Mara . Wow!! i like their tandem for the SP show. They are interesting to watch in this show.
I am for Bulan over Tala. I am happy when Carlo voted out unexpectedly. I really admire of what Arnold did, how to removed Carlo from SP4 as soon as possible. LOL! Arnold is so intelligent. You must be the Sole Survivor for this season!!
I must watch this show till it ended.

Dental Floss

You may don't know that dental floss are still very useful after using. Dental floss is a special nylon thread used to removed food particles stuck in between the teeth and dental plaque. These floss scrapes to clean the side of the teeth when inserted in between the teeth. It is also an alternative tool to achieved the same effect of ordinary tooth brush.

If we don't mind, this thread are made of plastic nylon with waxed so it is durable and not easily cut unless we use sharp object like scissor or knife. You can wash with soap and water then dry in the air for some purposes. Have you experienced your shirt's button get easily loosened or removed because of ordinary thread it used? There was a time that my polo shirt's button loosened in front of of other people. Well, t'was embarrassing isn't it?

Until then, i always rechecked my clothe's button if intact with durable thread before using them. The best thread to use for sewing in the button for coats or shirts is dental floss. I personally recommend it to you guys!! And these are not the only uses of dental floss, you can stock more dental floss in your kitchen aside from dental cleaning or sewing button but also good material to tie or truss a roast chicken. Chicken Menudo

I just would like to share this recipe to you. I got this from Mama Sitas Recipe using Mama Sita's Menudo Sauce and Tomato SAuce for Chicken Morconitos in Chunky Menudo Sauce.

1. Flaten boneless chicken thigh and season with salt and pepper.

2.Place a slice of carrots and cheese on the center of each thigh.

3.Roll up and fasten with toothpicks. Pan fry.

4. When the chicken turns golden, remove from heat and set aside

5.Once the chicken has cooled, remove the toothpicks and discard.

6.In the same pan, saute onions until soft, add the Mama Sita's Menudo Sauce, chicken and water. Add raisins salt and pepper.

7.Cover and simmer for another 15 to 20 minutes or until the sauce has thickened and chicken done. Remove from heat and served with steamed rice.

Its time now to buy gifts and stuffs for the Christmas celebration. I used to shop for Christmas ahead every on the first week of December but until now i have no plan yet when to go for shopping. The reason of delaying my shopping mode is because my budget is not enough any more, i don't know how to stretched my money . I have only the same amount i have last year for December shopping but i am very sure it's not enough to buy what we need for Christmas due to high increased of prices of commodities. Sweet Potato

As the cook for the family, i have always potato in my kitchen ready. I used to cook pork adobo, menudo, beef stew or pork stew, mashed potato, potato egg omelet and etc. Sometimes i do french fries for our snack.

Yesterday i went to market, i noticed that everything is very expensive. Fruits, vegetables , meat , fish and poultry including condiments are really too expensive. My budget for one week which is 1,000.00 pesos is not enough anymore, it only good for only three days now. the price of potato was only 30 pesos per kilogram and carrots was only 50 to 60 pesos per kg. Know what? the prices is already doubled. I can't buy what we need now if i will not buy the items with lower prices like the sweet potato. The sweet potato cost only 50 per kg. An alternative for potato. The sweet potato is sweeter and more nutritious than the regular potato.

I prepared egg omelet with ground pork and sweet potato for our breakfast. My kids noticed that there is a difference from the previous i used to cook. They said it is a new taste and more delicious. They were amazed when i told them that i used sweet potato for this recipe.

To be more wiser, used sweet potato instead of potato because it is cheaper, more nutritious and sweet tasting vegetable root.

My small variety store

I reopened my small business again. For personal reason, my store was been closed for almost a year. I took that opportunity to take rest, sleep eight hours a day and reflexion.

As i posted before that my store is just in our garage, so still the same situation. I am stay at home mom with very small business. If my store is small before, it smaller these time again because there are small stores already in my neighborhood. I wanted to expand into a bigger sari sari store for bigger profit but the problem is i don't have enough capital. One thing more, population of this community is very small and seldom you see people around outside their houses. My candies and some snack foods is little bit fast moving than the other items because there are children who love buying candies and snacks in my store. They used to hanged out and play here after their classes or when they arrived from their school.

How i wish and pray that soon i can find a way to have a more profitable business. I am financially problematic. hu!hu!hu! Who ever rich person you are, please share your money to me...hehehe!

Mouse Trap

I bought mouse trap yesterday. There is one big mouse constantly coming in to our home every night. I am scared because it is very dirty. They are living in the drainage canals and come inside the house roaming around to look for food while we are asleep. I am scared because it is a carrier of so many kinds of micro organisms contaminating our kitchen, the other appliance and specially our kitchen utensils. These microorganisms are the cause of different diseases.

Before i 'll go to my bed tonight i will ready the trap with three heads of dried fish to attract him.

At last, my sister's condo unit has been now renting by one of my neighbor's relative from USA. They rent the unit while they are on vacation here in the Philippines. Most thing that i don't like to my daughter doing is taking food in small amount to loss weight. She's not fat she's already slim but wanted to be slimmer and maintain the weight she wanted. I am not infavor of what she's doing that is why i always made it sure there are fruits and vegetable plus the nutritious food in our table to eat specially for her. I am really worried because i know she's not doing the right thing to lose weight. Its Friday!! it is now 12 noon but still i am not yet through with my laundry. I am already tired. I loaded all the short pants and maong jeans to the washing machine. I have still some dresses of my daughter to wash manually. I do also the cleaning and cooking in between. I am now alone. My son went to a school after her breakfast and my daughter went to work after her lunch. All the mess in the kitchen left for me.

The weather makes me sick. The abrupt change of temperature may be the cause of my cold which started the other day. It's two days holiday (August 29 &30) here in the Philippines. My daughter chosen to work overtime so only me and my son in the house. We are planning for malling but the rain is not cooperating. At last! Got a tenant already. Hope everything will be fine the whole term of our contract. It's been seven months was vacant. It's MOnday again. Hayyyy!!! time flies so fast!! it seems i didn't feel the week end. But anyhow, i have a stable mind, not so much stressed and had a peaceful mind at home without hanging out. Just as usual, i went to market last Saturday morning bought stuffs for the whole week.

My daughter forced by their office management to worked over time sixteen hours everyday this passed whole week except Sunday so, she slept most of the time yesterday.

I really didn't expect that it can be happen to my life. T'was so longggggggggg we patiently wait for him to be good husband and father but still ended to worst. Yes.. it is really painful, frustrating and shameful that a man that i married long time ago is................ . Sorry, i can't reveal and elaborate the problem. Hope you all understand.... Its holiday so i asked my daughter and son to go to mall to unwind my boredom being always alone at home. So cold morning!!. still raining and i think it rains the whole day and night in some areas of Metro Manila and some provinces. I saw in TV news about Valenzuela and Malabon. They are flooded due to high tide and contineous rain. Ever since these areas always the same problem every year during rainy season. What the government doing? Elementary and high school students are the one who are the most affected because their classes always suspended and i heard it last for 2-3 months sometimes.

Hello friends. School year is over that's why my kids stay here in the house daily and i am really expecting them to bond with me to filled the days were not together when they were always in school. I missed them so much i really want to spend the whole day with them thinking i am not alone anymore in the house most of the time. It is been twenty years that my house's flooring never been remodeled. Time flies so fast! How come twenty years over just like a wind despite of so much hardships. Survivor mom a single parent mom never thought can able to survived to raised two kids. My daughter now is just had her 21st birthday last month and she will attend their college graduation ceremony for Engineering course on April 11, 2011. It's another problem for my daughter about her health. Just last month my daughter confined in the hospital for Dengue Fever and was discharged after 5 days. Last week, severe pain from her upper molar tooth. The dentist advised her for root canal procedure after tooth Xray . At this moment she is still for medication for her liver because her SGPT is still little bit high. (High level of SGPT result is one of the symptom of Dengue Fever).We all know that every capsules or tablet's price now a days is not a joke, it can cause hypertension
Root canal is very expensive. I really have no money available for this matter .. How i wished my small investment will earn today so that the root canal procedure if ever will be doing by the dentist tomorrow, at least i will be ready financially. Hopefully...Lord please....

Hello friends? how's everybody! People around the world is shocked of the tsunami and offshore quake in Japan last Friday afternoon (March 11, 2011). That was the time when we were in the mall to shop for blinds. We need to passed by the appliance center before we reach the home world department for curtains and blinds section. One big TV appliance was on, featuring the tsunami and quake just recently happened in Japan. It is an unbelievable disaster ! True it 's far from my country but still i am shocked because it may happen everywhere.
