Christmas Eve

Christmas day is over. I just celebrate at home with my kids. They requested me to prepare only buko salad, spaghetti and fiesta ham and black forest flavor cake. Christmas Wish

Two days more, it is already Christmas day! Everybody is busy for their last minute shopping for themselves , friends and family. I had only one day shopping at Sm megamall with my daughter. Unforgetable Experience

I was working before abroad under the Department of Health in U.A.E. and as a part of our benefits 45 paid up vacation leave with free two way economy air fare every year. It was our choice which plain we want and that time i have chosen one Asian airlines to grab their promo one day and one night stop over in the city with free five star hotel accommodation. Pork in Sweet and Sour Sauce

1 kilo lean pork
1/2 tsp. white pepper
1 tablespoon salt
2 tablespoon calamanci juice ( lemon)
2 whole egg
1 tablespoon cornstarch

liced pork into 2 inches thickness. Marinate with calamansi or lemon juce, pepper salt and msj(ajinomoto) Coat with egg conrstarch and deep fry. Fry until turned to golden brown.

Sweet and sour sauce:
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup native vinegar
1/2 cup water
2 tbspoon catsup
1 slice ginger
1 small hot pepper (minced) optional
Mix all together the ingredients except cornstarch in a sauce pan . Bring to boil and thicken with cornstarch

Dog's Waste

My new neighbor have big 5 imported dogs. Their house is just next to our house. My gushhh..dog's stool sooo smelly specially night time. They cleans the stools during day time only, so foul smelling enters our kitchen during night time . At night time i am not opening our exhaust fan due to energy conservation and my fear that might be over heat while we were asleep.I don't want to complain against them in the barangay although i know it is my right but they must have to consider that they have neighbor affected by their dog's waste. I also saw the owner yesterday, splashing all the huge dog's waste to the drainage. I am worried these may cause obstruction of tha drainage system causing floods during rainy days and dog's waste flows out to our surroundings...... yakkkkkk!

Marky Cielo

I am saddened of Marky Cielo's death. Yesterday at Star Talk , aired the full episode tribute to him. My eyes bulged after i watched his tribute and again repeated at SOP this morning. May he rest in peace now.

Marky was 18 years old when he joined the contest Starstruck and he won the title "Ultimate Male Survivor" and the first and only "Sole Survivor" (2005-2006). He became an actor and with his dancing talent, Igorot descent. During his two-year career, he was able to star in several shows . He died December 7, 2008.

Not feeling Well

It is Friday, my laundry box is full. Just looking at it i am already tired. It seems that my resistance is decreasing. Since last night i am always sneezing and can't get a nice sleep. I am also worried for my eyes i think my eye strain is not improving despite of following all the advises of my fellow bloggers. I put bundle of green leaves infront of the computer and made some blinks of my eyes for a while. I am sorry friends i can't visit you these time. I'll try tomorrow .

Pine apple Pork Deluxe

1 kilo pork cut into cubes
1 small can of pineapple chunks
3 tbspoon soy sause
2 medium size of onions sliced
4 gloves garlic minced
2 tbspoon or oil
Fry pork until turns brown (just only slightly fry) Fry garlic in hot oil then put onion until wilted . Then fry all together with the pork then put the soysauce. Stir a little while until slightly comes out its' juice.Pour the pineapple chunks and 1/2 cup of water . Add salt to taste and simmer until tender.
You may thicken the sauce with one tablespoon of cornstarch dissolve in water.
Serve hot

We were in the fields when I saw this boy walking for home from school. The school is just only around 800 meters away from their house. So it is not bad comparing how far our school during our time. Our town improves a lot, there are elementary schools already in the remote areas .Not like before our time, elementary school was only in the main town so we were walking down the rough road 2 kilometers back and forth everyday.

Sauted Mongo Spraute

1/2 kilo mongo spraut
1 gram beans and cut into at least half inch
1 carrots -cut into strips
1 large onion , chopped
4 gloves garlic and crushed
3 tblspoon soy sauce
1 tspoon salt
Saute garlic in hot oil until golden brown then onion until wilted
add the mongo spraut, carrots bell pepper, beans. and cook at least 3-4 minutes. Add soy sause, salt. stir and add a little water . Cover and simmer until vegetables done . Do not over cooked

1tbspoon cornstarch dissolve in water
3 tablespoon of fish sauce
6 cups of chicken broth
Saute garlic until brown. Add onion until milted then add ham, chicken meat , shrimp and fish sauce and stir for two minutes. Put 1/4 cup of water and simmer until water dries up and the mixture looks juicy and oily. Add chicken broth. Cover and boil for 7-10 minutes.
Drop the noodles and vegetables -carrots and cabbage. Boil to cook for 3minutes and thicken with cornstarch. Remove from fire and add the beaten eggs and stir. No need to boil and serve immediately.

Shrimp Tempura

Remove shell of the shrimp and make a slit and remove the long vein. Season with salt and calamansi juice (lemon juice) and set aside and prepare batter

Batter
1 egg
1/2 cup water
1 1/4 cup all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon vetsin (msg)

Beat egg . add water and continue beating then add the rest of the ingredients and mix well until become smooth.
Deep shrimp in batter and drop one by one in deep hot oil. Fry until golden brown

Non-stick Toaster Oven Liner

Actually my toaster oven is not safe for use anymore. I am afraid it may cause fire. That started when we heated a left over pizza. Now my kids don't like to eat bread anymore because they used to eat toasted bread. If they choose to eat something hot bread they have to get up early to eat hot pandesal. I am really interested about this non- stick toaster oven. This is what i want to buy. My old toaster oven is not a non -stick liner and crumbs at the bottom of the toaster charcoaled and smokey everytime when using this toaster . It even takes time and patience to clean with soap and water avoiding the electrical lines. How I wish to have a non stick toaster oven at $8 , eight dollars times 49 pesos=392 pesos only. I saw already toaster oven in appliances store but coast more than one thousand pesos. I 'm not even sure if non-stick or not.
